About Us
Our vision
The Jordanian Association of Social Work (JASW) seeks to contribute to a professionalised social work sector and workforce and raise the social status of social workers and workers in social care. We aspire to deliver the best services for beneficiaries and vulnerable groups by developing a regulated social work sector and services that would ensure quality services for local communities.
Who We are
The Jordanian Association of Social Work was established in 2016 and was registered with the Ministry of Interior. It aims to be the first professional station for graduates who want professional development since it provides the necessary training to raise the social status of social workers. JASW provides highly specialised tuition-free training to its members and functions as a link between them and potential local and international employers. We seek to develop a national plan for the professionalisation of social work in Jordan so that it becomes a profession that requires registration and a license to practice. JASW joined the International Federation for Social Workers (IFSW) in 2020, and a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Social Development MoSD, JASW provides MoSD offices with the support of qualified social workers, in addition to logistics support.
