In collaboration with the Yemen Against Alzheimer’s and Dementia Foundation and the Aid Society for Alzheimer’s Patients, the Jordanian Association of Social Work held a specialized free seminar on Alzheimer’s disease presented by Dr. Amal Seif, a specialist in medical sciences. The seminar covered the definition of the disease, behavioral changes and their relationship to isolation and stigma, preventive methods and global plans to respond to the disease within the World Health Organization’s program. In conclusion, Dr. Amal Seif answered many questions related to the importance of the role of mental health support workers and the necessity for families to understand how to deal with patients and understand their psychological and social needs, behavioral changes, and other related topics.
